Welcome to the August 1st edition of The Homeschool Mother’s Journal at NextGen Homeschool!

Can you believe it’s August already?!? Maybe you are ready for summer to be over, but I feel like summer was just getting into full swing. We just wrapped up four days of Colorado camping with two other families (and a total of 10 girls!) — and now I’m facing a month of back-to-homeschool activities on the calendar! Where did the summer go?

What about you? Are you ready to hit the books again and get back into your homeschool routine, or are you wishing you had another month of relaxing summer fun like I am?

 SPECIAL SERIES ON VIBRANT HOMESCHOOLING

Every Thursday from now through August 27, our co-host Vibrant Homeschooling will be featuring a movie (many of them ones your family probably also loves too) that your family can not only watch together, but enjoy related fun activities, crafts and more. Nine bloggers from other popular homeschooling blogs will be sharing their favorite movies, including NextGen Homeschool! Don’t miss it: Stay up to date with the series here.

This week, I’m sharing my family-focused review of Disney’s Chronicles of Narnia movie series, as well as three simple and engaging family activities to take these timeless classics beyond the big screen with your children. See my post here.
